N V Pradeep Kumar Alanki

Pradeep is a Manager at Global IP Services. With over 11 years of experience in the field of Intellectual Property, he is known for his expertise in providing patent services via patent application drafting, patent application prosecution, and developing patent portfolio strategies. He holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and is registered to practice before the Indian Patent Office. Pradeep manages the team in India office and is instrumental in assuring the quality services to our clients. Apart from managing the team, he works closely with numerous in-house IP teams of our clients in customizing broad patent prosecution strategies and churn valuable assets from their ideas. His decade-long extensive patent practice and profound domain knowledge has made him an expert in securing patent and advising on patent portfolio development .

Veena Shivanna

Veena is a Senior Patent Associate at Global IP Services, with over 11 years of experience in Intellectual Property. She holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering, and a registered India Patent Agent. She also has a law degree from Bengaluru University. Veena has experience working with a law firm and in an in-house team of a software company with areas of specialty including drafting, patent prosecution, analytics, and patent portfolio management. Having drafted and successfully prosecuted several patent applications, she has come to be acknowledged as a specialist in patent drafting and prosecution in various areas of technology.

GOPIKRISHNAN M

Gopikrishnan is a Patent Consultant at Global IP Services. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering (B.Tech) from Mahatma Gandhi University and a bachelor’s degree in Law with Honours in Intellectual Property Rights (LL.B Hons) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is a registered Advocate with Bar Council of India. He worked at an MNC as a Patent Counsel prior to joining Global IP Services. His expertise includes patent prosecution, drafting, and analytics.

Naga Lavanya

Naga Lavanya is a Senior Docketing Paralegal at Global IP Services. She holds a master’s degree in Computer Science. She assists in delivering a quality service to client by assisting in various patent legal matters such as filing patent applications, preparing and filing different documents with the patent offices, docketing patent documents in a software tool, proof reading granted patents, and compiling patent information from various web-based records.

Hemavathy Y G

Hemavathy is a Patent Engineer at Global IP Services. She holds a master’s degree (M. Tech) in Signal Processing from Visveswaraiah Technological University and has cleared Indian Patent Agent Exam. Hemavathy’s practice primarily involves prosecution of Indian patent applications. She works on customizing broad patent prosecution strategy for her clients based on their specific business objectives and go-to-market strategies.

Vinod Nama

Vinod Nama is a U.S. Patent Consultant with over 19 years of experience in intellectual property and 24 years of overall experience spanning engineering and technology. He focuses on preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications across a wide range of complex technology domains, including artificial intelligence and machine learning systems, semiconductor devices and computational lithography, energy and smart grid technologies, unmanned aerial vehicles, computer networks, and software innovations.

Vinod has provided patent services to leading global technology companies, including ASML, Facebook, Intel, Capital One, Google, and SAP.

Prior to dedicating his career to intellectual property, Vinod worked as a software engineer at SAP Labs and Wipro Technologies, where he developed enterprise and mobile applications. He holds a Master of Intellectual Property from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from PES University, Bangalore.

Afsar S

Afsar S is a Registered Indian Patent and Trademark Attorney with more than two decades of experience in intellectual property law and technology. His practice focuses on patent prosecution, trademark prosecution, and design protection, advising clients on the protection and commercialization of technology innovations across multiple jurisdictions.
Afsar has extensive experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications across a broad range of complex technology domains, including electronics, telecommunications, software systems, nanotechnology, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. He regularly advises multinational corporations, research institutions, technology companies, and start-ups on patent strategy, portfolio development, portfolio management, and global intellectual property protection.
He has handled the filing and prosecution of several thousand patent applications and has significant experience assisting companies in developing robust intellectual property portfolios aligned with their business and innovation strategies. His international exposure enables him to work effectively with global clients and provide strategic guidance on protecting technology assets in competitive markets.
Afsar actively contributes to innovation ecosystems and currently serves as a Mentor to innovation teams under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, where he supports academic innovators and start-ups in developing intellectual property strategies and protecting emerging technologies.
He has also served as an Advisory Member to the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) on intellectual property rights matters and has contributed as a Patent Consultant for 5G testbed projects, supporting initiatives in advanced communication technologies.
Prior to dedicating his career to intellectual property law, Afsar worked in research and development for a speaker manufacturing company, gaining practical engineering experience that informs his technical and legal approach to patent matters. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electronics Engineering.
